• Archelon - Cretaceous carnivore; a kind of gigantic turtle
• Barracuda - A fearsome, very fast aquatic predator found in warm salt water
• Buccaneer - Sailors who make a living by raiding coastal settlements and robbing other ships
• Crabman - Humanoid amphibious creatures with tough reddish-brown exoskeletons and pincers
• Dragon Turtle - Massive aquatic creatures up to 200 feet long, occasionally mistaken for rocky outcroppings or small islands
• Elasmosaurus - Cretaceous carnivore
• Eye of the Deep - Globular aquatic monster with a massive central eye, two eyestalks, lobster-like pincers, and a gaping maw
• Giant Crab - Unintelligent crustaceans that lurk in coastal waters and creep along beaches
• Giant Moray Eel - Salt water dwellers with a nasty temper and a mouth full of teeth

• Kraken - Possibly the largest known creature, with a body 150 feet long and 10 barbed tentacles that can reach an additional 500 feet
• Leviathan - Huge fish that may originate from the deepest oceans or the Elemental Plane of Water
• Locathah - Humanoid in shape, more fish than man
• Merman - Aquatic humanoids with human upper bodies and fish-like lower bodies that dwell in tropical seas
• Mosasaurus - Cretaceous carnivore that filled the same ecological niche as sharks
• Nothosaurus - Triassic carnivore; amphibious like huge seals
• Pirate - Sailors who make a living by raiding coastal settlements, robbing other ships, and illegal slaving
• Plesiosaurus - Jurassic carnivore that may have preferred smaller prey than a man
• Portuguese Man O'War - Translucent floating creature with poisonous tentacles that trails below the water surface
• Sahuagin - Predatory fish-man race with green coloration, darker along the back and lighter on the belly
• Sea Hag - A horrible creature that appears as an old crone whose bent shape belies her power and swiftness
• Sea Serpent - Serpentine monsters which live in the sea, ranging from 20' to 40' long
• Shark - Aggressive, predatory fish of low intelligence and unpredictable behaviour
• Triton - Similar to mermen, but larger and significantly more powerful
• Weed Eel - Found in both salt and fresh water, preferring depths of around 30-ft
• Whale - Large aquatic mammals with considerable variation between species
