With their glowing red glands, one above each eye and one on the back of the abdomen, these nocturnal beetles are much sought after by adventurers. The glands will continue to glow for 1d6 days after removal, illuminating a 10-ft radius without fail.

Fire beetles can be found both above and below ground, feeding on decaying matter like all beetles.
