Giant Death Watch beetles live in temperate areas and sometimes underground. They disguise themselves by sticking rubbish, branches and detritus to their carapaces with their saliva. They are feared for making terrible, deadly bass vibrations by scraping their hind legs—when a beetle does this, all within 30 ft of the creature must save vs death or die. Even those who pass their save take 4d6 hp damage. After using this special attack, the Death Watch beetle must wait at least 12 turns before using it again.
